Very interesting museum, friendly helpful staff with good infomation booklet in English about the exhibits. I was particularly interested in the history of sugar and it's production. Also small display of Portuguese ceramics.
Small museum, free of entrance. Guiding book in different languages.
MAGNIFICO O NUCLEO
Initial reaction was not good with appallingly rude front of house staff (because we didn't have enough change). The Museum itself was not what I expected.What I wanted to see was an explanation of the process of obtaining the sugar and its importance to the Island's economy.What I got was a collection of broken pottery (with some sugar moulds)and some religious iconry.Give it a miss unless you really like rude staff and broken pots.
Really interesting little museum. It had plenty of interesting things to see - especially Colombia's Well. Helpful staff who encouraged you to take photos - the only request was that you didn't use the flash on the camera.
